The present invention relates to a file format conversion system for converting structure modeling data of a modeling program into an input file of a ground-structure interaction interpretation program, and to a method thereof. The file format conversion system comprises: a modeling unit modeling a structure to be interpreted; an interface unit setting at least one of attribution information, boundary information, load information, and interpretation condition information to be applied to the modeled structure; a modeling data generation unit applying the at least one set information to the modeled structure to generate as structure modeling data; and a file format conversion unit converting the structure modeling data into the input file of the ground-structure interaction interpretation program. Accordingly, the structure modeling data can be conveniently generated, and the input file of the ground-structure interaction interpretation program having different file types can be easily and conveniently generated.
