The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for quantifying and evaluating dizziness or visual fatigue of a user due to use of a virtual reality device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for quantifying and evaluating dizziness or visual fatigue comprises the following steps: measuring a vestibular function or a visual function of a user to use a virtual reality device; providing a stimulus image to the user through the virtual reality device; measuring a change in a users autonomic nervous system or a change in the visual function by the provided stimulus image; estimating a degree of dizziness or a degree of visual fatigue of the user by the provided stimulus image through a questionnaire; and generating an evaluation index for reducing dizziness by quantifying the dizziness caused by the use of the virtual reality device and the stimulus image provided to the user based on the measured vestibular function or visual function, changes in the measured autonomic nervous system, and degree of estimated dizziness or visual fatigue.
