The present invention provides an interactive tug-of-war play system and a control method thereof, wherein while one or at least two players face a screen, a string is pulled to perform tug-of-war play. In correspondence with a player for performing tug-of-war, image contents in which a character performs tug-of-war in an opposite side are provided, and in accordance with how to perform tug-of-war of the player or motion of the player, a counter character for tug-of-war in an image reacts to the same to operate in the image contents. Therefore, through contents with respect to interactive tug-of-war play between the player and the character, interest of tug-of-war play can be significantly improved for the player.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
