The present invention relates to an anti-obesity composition having a yomena aster ethanol extract as an active ingredient. The anti-obesity composition having a yomena aster ethanol extract as an active ingredient has an effect of alleviating hyperlipidemia induced by a high fat diet by: inhibiting the differentiation of preadipocytes, inhibiting the expression of peroxisome proliferators activated receptor - gamma (PPAR-) and fatty acid synthase (FAS); reducing weight against obesity induced by a high fat diet; performing liver tissue regeneration and fat excretion against obesity induced by a high fat diet; and increasing the ratio of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and lowering triacylglycerol (TG) content.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
