The present invention relates to a fluorescent probe compound for detecting nitroxyl, represented by chemical formula 1. According to the present invention, the fluorescent probe compound for detecting nitroxyl responds to nitroxyl with excellent selectivity compared to other analytes, and shows high detection sensitivity to nitroxyl, thereby simply and effectively detecting nitroxyl by a turn-on method, and showing very high utility in biological and environmental fields. In addition, the fluorescent probe compound for detecting nitroxyl according to the present invention is capable of detecting nitroxyl generated inside a cell as well as nitroxyl introduced from the outside of a cell, thereby monitoring a nitroxyl formation process in mitochondria in real time.
