The present invention relates to a new cultivar of Hosta capitata, ′First bell′ and a molecular marker for discriminating the same. The new cultivar of Hosta capitata or First bell has a long ear, a leaflet thereof is attached to a flower stalk, and the leaf color is dark green. The present invention is a cultivar that is very high in ornamental value because the flowering period is faster and the ear is longer than other Hosta capitata cultivars, and thus is considered to be a cultivar that may be advantageously used as a landscape tree, such as in a garden or park or as a roadside tree.
