The present invention relates to a transformer having a reverse-winding structure of a power source-side primary winding for short-circuit force reduction and steel clamp weight lightening, and more particularly, to a transformer having a reverse-winding structure of a power source-side primary winding for short-circuit force reduction and steel clamp weight lightening, which includes: a magnetic circuit core of an iron core; a primary winding and a secondary winding on a power source-side; and a primary winding and a secondary winding on a ground-side, wherein the primary winding on the power source-side is wound in the reverse direction, and the secondary winding on the power source-side, the primary and secondary windings on the ground-side are wound in the forward direction, to allow a leakage magnetic flux proportional to a short-circuit current to be interlinked with the winding in the reverse direction of the primary winding on the power source-side upon the short-circuit, so that the short-circuit mechanical power is alleviated as a reactance value is decreased, thus a clamp and an end plate to endure the short-circuit mechanical force are weight-lightened, thereby light-weighting and downsizing the transformer.
