The present invention generally relates to a technique for automatically calibrating a camera setting in an SVM system mounted in a vehicle. In particular, the present invention relates to a technique for recognizing a lane in a driving lane photographed by an SVM camera while driving a vehicle, and calibrating the settings of front, back, left and right cameras of the SVM system by using the recognized lane, thereby achieving calibration of the SVM system in a state in which a user uses the vehicle after shipment. According to the present invention, the SVM camera setting is automatically calibrated using the lane recognition technique while driving the vehicle, thereby satisfactorily maintaining the quality of an SVM image even when mechanical changes occur in the arrangement of the SVM cameras due to parts repair or repetitive operations for side mirror during use of the vehicle after shipment.
