The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a positive electrode material coated with a metal oxide and doped with a metal through a one-pot synthesis method and a positive electrode material produced thereby. The method comprises the following steps: preparing lithium manganese oxide (LMO) nanoparticles through a sol-gel method; coating a metal oxide to the LMO nanoparticles; and calcining LMO coated with metal oxide. While the metal is doped to the LMO through the calcining step, the metal oxide is coated to the LMO.
