The present invention relates to an acoustic metamaterial structure for impact vibration mitigation which has an impact mitigation effect of an acoustic metamaterial and can be used as a reusable structural member of a mechanical system, and a formation method thereof. The acoustic metamaterial structure for impact vibration mitigation includes one or more acoustic metamaterial unit elements of a pillar shape having a long length in one direction and including coupling units formed along outer circumferential surfaces thereof. The acoustic metamaterial unit elements are arranged in parallel to have prescribed intervals to form a unit element layer forming a single layer. A plurality of the unit element layers are alternately stacked in a vertical direction to form an acoustic metamaterial structure. The coupling units formed on acoustic metamaterial unit elements of vertically formed unit element layers are alternately stacked on the acoustic metamaterial structure. The acoustic metamaterial structure can be easily manufactured without using a separate apparatus for arrangement and fixation.
