The present invention relates to a method for monitoring a region of interest based on IoT, which comprises the steps of: determining whether a door is used by detecting a movement through a sensor unit mounted on at least one door disposed in a region of interest in which the user lives; patterning and storing the door movement in accordance with a condition based on at least one of surrounding information including at least one of a door position in which the movement occurred, a time at which the door movement occurred, and a degree of movement of the door; and monitoring the user living in the region of interest based on the stored surrounding information.
