Microparticles dispersed in the composition of the medium contain the drug and are coated with a coating containing a bioerodible material or a biodegradable material. Composition of the medium is in liquid form before administration and is configured to increase viscosity after injection into the mammalian body so that the medium after injection is solid or gel-like.
