FIELD: radio equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in multichannel monopulse detectors-direction finders of radio monitoring systems for solving problems of detecting spectral components of signals of radio-frequency radiation sources. Reception of signals from outputs of all antennas of antenna system in spatial channels of detector-direction finder is performed repeatedly in series in time; on each spectral count, additionally calculating inter-channel energies of fast Fourier transform of each of received signals with subsequent accumulation of energy by summation of their values, calculated by each of received signals, and formation of normalized matrix of mutual energies, equal to product of accumulated matrix of mutual energies and matrix, inverse to correlation matrix of additive noise; decisive statistics is represented by the ratio of the trace of the square of the normalized matrix of mutual energies to the square of the trace of the given matrix.;EFFECT: high reliability of detecting spectral components of RFS signals, is manifested in increasing the probability of correct detection at a fixed probability of false alarm.;1 cl, 3 dwg
