摘要
A controller for reconfiguring the inertia, damping and fault ride-through capability of power converter operating as a virtual synchronous machine (VSM). Virtual inertia Hv(s) is reconfigured by adding a low-pass filter to a torque (power) channel and virtual damping is reconfigured by adding a virtual damper between the VSM voltage e and the output voltage ePWM sent to PWM conversion. The fault ride-through capability is reconfigured to achieve a desired fault-current level by reconfiguring the damping and the inertia. The controller comprises a torque/active power channel that takes a negative torque/active power feedback signal to generate a frequency signal, and a reactive power-voltage channel that takes a negative reactive power feedback signal to generate a field excitation signal. A calculation block generates a VSM voltage, a torque/active power signal and a reactive power signal. A virtual inertia block takes the torque/active power signal from the calculation block and generates the negative torque feedback signal for the torque/active power channel. The virtual damper takes the VSM voltage, a feedback voltage and/or the converter-side inductor current from the power part of the converter and generates an output voltage to drive the power switches of the converter after PWM conversion
