To provide a coal-fired boiler ash adhesion prediction method which suppresses decline in the operation rate due to ash failure by capturing the correlation between the agglutination degree and the exhaust gas temperature, and which can effectively utilize economical low-grade coal.SOLUTION: A coal-fired boiler ash adhesion prediction method performs: a coal ash generation step of generating coal ash; a sintered ash generation step of heating the coal ash at a plurality of point temperatures in a combustion temperature range of a coal-fired boiler, and generating sintered ash at each heating temperature; an agglutination measurement step of rotating and separating each sintered ash by a rattler tester, and measuring the agglutination degree from the weight ratio of the sintered ash before and after the rotation separation; a correlation calculation step of measuring an exhaust gas temperature by burning the coal which becomes the measured agglutination degree by the coal-fired boiler, and acquiring the correlation between the agglutination degree and the exhaust gas temperature; an exhaust gas temperature prediction step of predicting the exhaust gas temperature from the agglutination degree of the coal to be adopted as a fuel on the basis of the correlation between the agglutination degree and the exhaust gas temperature; and an adhesion prediction step of predicting the adhesion of the ash in the coal-fired boiler on the basis of the predicted exhaust gas temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
