PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field detection device having improved detection sensitivity of a dipole. SOLUTION: This magnetic field detection device is a sensor fixing portion for fixing a mounting portion to be mounted on the head of a subject and an optical pumping atomic magnetic sensor for detecting the magnetic field of the head of the subject to the mounting portion. When the optical pumping magnetic sensor is attached to the sensor fixing portion and the mounting portion is mounted on the head of the subject, the optical axis of the optical pumping atomic magnetic sensor becomes the subject. The sensor fixing portion is positioned with respect to the mounting portion so as to be arranged substantially parallel to the normal direction of the side surface of the central groove in the examiner's brain structure.
