To provide a facility configuration creation support system and a facility configuration creation support method capable of supporting creation of facility configuration permitting more cost reduction than a current component-mounted line.SOLUTION: A facility configuration creation support method for supporting creation of facility configuration of a component-mounted line including a component mounting device includes, based on information related to the current facility configuration (ST1), information related to a production plan (ST2), and information related to a cost reduction target (ST3), facility configuration creation processes (ST4 to ST10) for creating new facility configuration such that a total cost of executing the production plan is cut by the cost reduction target or more in comparison with the current facility configuration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
