To provide a tsunami barrier in which displacement of a wire rope is suppressed, which avoids a collision of the wire rope with a protection object in capturing a drift even when installed in a place close to the protection object, and which is excellent in workability.SOLUTION: A tsunami barrier 1 of this invention comprises: a plurality of posts 2 erected on a foundation with a predetermined interval; and a screen 3 bridged between the plurality of posts 2 and capturing an object that is made to flow toward a protection object by a wave force.
