PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a summary consisting of a necessary minimum set of sentences from a set of sentences.;SOLUTION: A summary sentence calculation device includes input means for accepting input of a set of sentences and summary sentence calculation means for calculating a summary sentence set from the set of sentences. The summary sentence calculation means selects a prescribed sentence from the set of sentences, calculates an increment amount of a coverage rate of the summary sentence set after adding the prescribed sentence to a new summary sentence set relative to a coverage rate of the summary sentence set prior to the addition, outputs the summary sentence set prior to the addition to end processing when the increment amount is less than a first threshold value, and repeats the processing by setting the summary sentence set after the addition as the new summary sentence set when the increment amount is greater than or equal to the first threshold value until the processing is ended.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
