To simplify settlement processing of electronic payment using coupon.SOLUTION: A benefit offering method in a benefit offering system S includes the steps, which are executed by a computer, of: receiving a user identifier and coupon use request from a user terminal of a user; generating a payment token; storing the payment token and the user identifier in a storage unit in association with each other; transmitting the payment token to the user terminal; receiving payment information, the payment token, commodity information with a benefit, from a store terminal having read a payment code displayed on the user terminal on the basis of the payment token; reading the user identifier from the storage unit on the basis of the payment token received from the store terminal; and offering a benefit of coupon to a user corresponding to the user identifier when a commodity with a benefit is identified by the received commodity information with a benefit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
