To provide an external preparation for treating nail disease (particularly, trichophytosis unguium), which is a non-coating type and contains a medium-chain fatty acid triglyceride and the like as a non-volatile component, in which it shows excellent nail permeability, drug efficacy and formulation properties and, therefore, is clinically applicable.SOLUTION: An external preparation for treating trichophytosis unguium contains a) an antimycotic activity substance, b) a volatile component, c) a medium-chain fatty acid triglyceride, d) ethyl lactate, and e) disodium edetate hydrate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
