To provide a new prediction formula capable of being applied to the neutralization depth of concrete in existing buildings, regardless of the type of finishing and whether it is finished.SOLUTION: Specific values of a, b, c, e and f constituting the following equation (1) are determined by applying the least-squares method between the actual measured values of the neutralization depth of concrete and the estimated value of the neutralization depth of concrete according to the following equation (1). The determined concrete values are substituted into the following expression (1) to obtain an expression (1') which is a relational expression between x and t, C, dand d. Here, x: depth of carbonation of concrete, t: age of concrete, C: COconcentration of air in the environment where concrete is placed, d: thickness of mortar on concrete, d: thickness of decorative building materials on concrete.SELECTED DRAWING: None
