To provide a working electrode which can be manufactured at low cost and has little variation in a potential response amount, a manufacturing method of the working electrode, and a taste sensor including the working electrode.SOLUTION: There is provided a working electrode covering an insulating support substrate, and comprising a laminate in which (i) an electrode layer including an electrolyte salt-containing electrode layer and (ii) a waterproof insulating layer are laminated in this order and a taste detection membrane embedded in the waterproof insulating layer. In the working electrode, the electrolyte salt-containing electrode layer includes at least a mixture of (a) Ag particles and (b) specific alkali metal salt particles or alkaline earth metal salt particles, the components (a) and (b) are present as a porous solid particle mixture mass, the taste detection membrane has a surface contacting an object to be measured, and the taste detection membrane is in electrical contact with the electrolyte salt-containing electrode layer.
