To provide a method for monitoring and measuring a precompression quantity of a spindle bearing.SOLUTION: The method for monitoring and measuring a precompression quantity of a spindle bearing includes the following steps: a step (1) in which a precompression quantity of the spindle bearing is detected with a push-pull curve precompression analyzer; a step (2) in which an axial force detection output value of a spindle is measured and recorded with an axial force sensor and the axial force detection output value detected with the axial force sensor is compared with the precompression quantity of the spindle bearing detected with the push-pull curve precompression analyzer, and subsequently a relation between the precompression value of the spindle bearing and the axial force detection output value is made clear, the axial force detection output value is deemed as the precompression quantity of the spindle bearing, and the precompression quantity of the spindle bearing is monitored and measured by monitoring and measuring the axial force detection output value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
