To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of suppressing striped artifacts without causing deterioration of biological information in an ultrasonic image.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises: a transmitting/receiving unit 11 for transmitting/receiving an ultrasonic wave to/from an ultrasonic probe 20 so as to generate a plurality of reception beam data per one ultrasonic beam; an image generation unit 13 for generating an ultrasonic image based on the plurality of reception beam data generated when the inside of a subject is scanned with the ultrasonic beam; and a filter processing unit 14 for selectively determining a filter to be applied, from a plurality of filters having different frequency characteristics for each region in the ultrasonic image, and performing a filtering process for reducing striped artifacts by using the determined filter for each region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
