To provide a personal space estimation device capable of reliably estimating a personal space required for not only a robot but also ambient persons to safely and securely move while reducing the load of arithmetic processing.SOLUTION: The personal space estimation device includes: a movement measurement part 12 configured to estimate the movement speed and the movement locus from a movement state of the moving objects within a target range; a movement state determination part 13 configured to detect another moving object which has changed the movement direction and is approaching the moving object from the movement speed and the movement locus of the moving object; and a personal space estimation part 14 that is configured to estimate a personal space depending on the respective moving conditions of the detected moving object and the other moving object approaching the moving object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
