Rail foundation construction method and rail foundation block

To provide a rail foundation block which is used for construction of a rail foundation of a portal crane.SOLUTION: A rail foundation block 20 is a concrete block which is precast with a length in at least 1 m unit. The rail foundation block 20 includes: a groove for travel rail installation which extends in a longitudinal direction, has both opened ends, and has an approximately U-shaped cross section of a peripheral surface 30 provided on an upper side 21; an installation surface 40 for travel rail installation which is set in the longitudinal direction on a bottom surface 34 of the groove; and a plurality of inserts 50 or bolts which are embedded at fixed intervals on both sides of the installation surface 40 and fix pressing fittings of the travel rail. A rail foundation 10 can be constructed at low cost in a short time by arranging the plurality of rail foundation blocks 20 in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
