PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a PI solution capable of forming a porous polyimide film having fine pores and a smooth surface on the surface of a base material; a fixing belt having the film; and a method for manufacturing the fixing belt.SOLUTION: 1The polyimide solution for fixing belts is a polyimide precursor solution including an amide based solvent and an ether based solvent, and the polyimide includes an oxyalkylene unit and/or a siloxane unit in a main chain.2The method for manufacturing a fixing belt includes the step of forming a porous polyimide film by drying the polyimide solution after being applied to the surface of a base material.3In the fixing belt having the porous polyimide film laminated and integrated on the surface of the base material, the oxyalkylene unit and/or the siloxane unit are included in the main chain of the polyimide, and the average pore diameter of the porous film is 10 nm or more and 2000 nm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
