To provide an orchestra direction game allowing a player to input an instruction important for directing an orchestra, such as temporal strength of voice, temporal change in tempo, and a temporal change in rhythm.SOLUTION: An orchestra direction game apparatus: evaluates moving trajectory of a player's fingers as a pattern; defines, just like a normal direction operation, a player's "act" as temporal reproduction elements of the music piece such as a change in tempo, a change in strength, and a change in rhythm of the music piece; compares the player's intention represented by the "act" with a standard performance state of the temporal reproduction elements corresponding to instruction signs CS stored in an orchestra direction game program; and reproduce by changing the standard performance state according to the difference. The orchestra direction game apparatus defines respectively, the temporal reproduction elements of the music piece such as the tempo, strength, and rhythm of the music piece into the respective patterns of the instruction signs CS 8 and 9 so as to enable the orchestra performance in a form finely reflecting the player's intention.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
