To provide a mechanism for correcting a paper-sheet corner-fold portion capable of realizing number-of-parts reduction, size reduction, structural simplification and cost reduction and of correcting all the corner-fold pieces at both main and back surfaces collectively.SOLUTION: A mechanism for correcting a paper-sheet corner-fold portion comprises a first correcting unit 10 having a first fixed support part 15 and a first movable support part 30 and a second correcting unit 50 having a second fixed support part 55 and a second movable support part 70. Each fixing support part when positioned close to each other temporarily fixes one end-sided portion of the paper sheet while each movable support part comprises a configuration to advance/retract respectively relatively toward/from a plane of the paper sheet in a state of contacting the other end-sided portion of the paper sheet temporarily fixed. Each fixing support part comprises a fixed-sided corner fold correcting part for correcting one end-sided corner-fold portion of the paper sheet while each movable support part comprises a movable-sided corner fold correcting part for correcting the other end-sided corner-fold portion of the paper sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
