The present invention provides a method for recommending a teacher to a target learner in an online education system. The method includes acquiring feature information of a target learner, searching for a matching candidate teacher from a teacher database based on the feature information of the target learner, and obtaining a candidate teacher list including at least one candidate teacher. Calculating the learning reservation probability of the target learner for each candidate teacher in the candidate teacher list; and creating a ranking for the candidate teachers in the candidate teacher list based on the calculated probability.
