To provide methods for obtaining information on a subject's colon cancer based on an analysis result provided by analyzing the methylation status of the DNA extracted from a biological sample of the subject using a novel marker specific for colon cancer.SOLUTION: The above subject is solved by analyzing the methylation status of the CpG site present in the promoter region of at least one gene selected from LONRF 2 and CUX 2 contained in the DNA extracted from the biological sample of a subject to acquire information on the subject's colon cancer based on the analysis result.SELECTED DRAWING: None
