PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform mapping of a lead sequence into a new genomic sequence different from an old genomic sequence by use of mapping result to the old genomic sequence.SOLUTION: A DNA sequence analysis device comprises: (1) a storage device storing an old genomic sequence, a new genomic sequence, a lead sequence, and the mapping result when the lead sequence is mapped into the old genomic sequence; (2) a new genomic index construction unit which constructs an index to search any character string in the new genomic sequence; (3) a query table updating unit which constructs a query table recording combination of modification in the vicinity of the processing position on the old genomic sequence on the basis of the mapping result in which the modification is related to the old genomic sequence existing in the lead sequence; and (4) a mapping destination searching unit which compares a sequence constructed by applying the combination of modification stored in the query table to the old genomic sequence with the new genomic sequence and comprehensively outputs a portion of the constructed sequence completely matched with the new genomic sequence with respect to K bases or more in the constructed sequence.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
