It is an object of the present invention to provide a stevia plant having a high content of rebaudioside c. The present invention provides a high rebaudioside type C non-genetically modified stevia plant which has a higher rebaudioside c content than wild type stevia varieties, more specifically at least 20% more content. The present invention further provides: a method for producing a non-genetically modified high rebaudioside-type stevia plant and the like, and dried leaves obtained from such a plant.
