the present invention relates to an antifungal microemulsion formulation of oil in water comprising two different bioactive ingredients which are lipophilic (essential oils) and hydrophilic (aqueous extracts of plant biomass) in nature, but reside in different stages of said microemulsion. in particular, the present invention provides a liquid microemulsion comprising a synergistic mixture of two essential oils as an active ingredient in the dispersed phase and an aqueous extract of hydrophilic biomass in continuous phase that not only facilitates the general antifungal effectiveness of the microemulsion, but also maintains its potency against the wilt-inducing fungus f. oxysporum during storage.
