the trap consists of a cubic tank with an approximate volume of 60 liters, to which is connected a tilting ramp coupled to a docking frame and a sheltered and inclined access ramp, formed by a rectangular duct through which the rodents rise and enter through the top of the tank. at the entrance, at the top of the tank, the rodent finds a tilting board, which gives in to its weight when trying to cross it to reach the food baits that are deposited in containers on the opposite side. the rodent falls to the bottom of the tank containing a syrup composed of water and a substance based on alcohols and essential oils, which has an anesthetic, deodorant and preservative effect. it dies quickly, and can remain in the tank for up to 45 days without emitting odors of putrefaction, when it must then be removed for disposal.
