Introduction sleeve (10) to provide access to the body of a patient, comprising a tubular body (11) with a distal part (12) and a proximal part (13), the proximal part (13) being configured to be inserted into the patient's body to allow a medical device (100) to be inserted through the introduction sleeve (10) into the patient's body, the introduction sleeve (10) being structured to facilitate separation along its length , in a longitudinal direction, to allow the introduction sleeve (10) to be detached from a medical device (100) inserted therein, wherein the introduction sleeve (10) further comprises at least one first handle (15) which is pivotally attached to the distal part (12) of the tubular body (11) so that it can pivot around a fulcrum (21), the first handle (15) having a first end part (151) and a second part free end (152) so that it forms a lever, such that pivoting the handle (15) around the fulcrum (21) causes a contact portion (23) of the handle to act on the respective counter portion (24) which is functionally connected to the distal portion ( 12) of the tubular body (11), thereby creating a breaking force that causes the distal part (12) of the tubular body (11) to break.
