Disclosed are a fluorescent powder activated by mixing europium ions of Eu²⁺ and Eu³⁺, a preparation method therefor and use thereof, which belong to the technical field of luminescent materials. The chemical formula of the fluorescent powder provided by the present invention is Na_2-2xEu_2xAl₂B₄O₁₀, wherein x is the mole number for doping of europium ions, and 0.001 ≤ x ≤ 0.07; the matrix thereof is Na₂Al₂B₄O₁₀; and the activator is europium ions, which are a mixture of Eu²⁺ and Eu³⁺. The fluorescent powder provided by the present invention is prepared by using a chemical sol-gel method for synthesis, with sintering being carried out in an air atmosphere. Under the excitation of ultraviolet light and near-ultraviolet light, fluorescent powder can result in different luminescent colors, from blue light to white light. The preparation process of the present invention is simple, and especially has no strict requirements with respect to the sealing property of the preparation equipment, good production safety, low cost, and no pollution discharge. The resulting fluorescent powder is polychromatic and luminescent and the color can be continuously adjusted.
