Disclosed by the present invention are a method and system for monitoring the internal deformation of a faced rock-fill dam, the method comprising: burying a flexible pressure-resisting pipeline in a dam to be monitored in advance, and placing a monitoring device; controlling the monitoring device to move back and forth along a central axis of the flexible pressure-resisting pipeline, conducting a three-dimensional curve measurement, and sending measurement data to a processing terminal; and the processing terminal calculating three-dimensional curves, registering and comparing the three-dimensional curves at different periods so as to obtain correspondences of the flexible pressure-resisting pipeline at the same measuring point during the different periods, and calculating horizontal displacement, vertical cave-in and face deflection. Compared to a traditional method of burying a point-type measurement instrument, only the monitoring device needs to be placed during measurement according to the present invention, which avoids the problem of maintenance for already-buried measurement instruments in existing technology. Costs are reduced, and the present invention may simultaneously monitor the horizontal displacement, vertical cave-in and face deflection of the faced rock-fill dam, while the monitoring efficiency and monitoring precision are improved.
