The present invention provides a people traffic statistical method, apparatus, and system based on a vision sensor. The method comprises: collecting image data in a designated area according to a specific frequency by using a vision sensor; detecting each frame of image in the image data, and when it is identified that any one frame of image comprises a people image, allocating an identification number for the identified people image; based on multiple frames of images continuous with the any one frame of image, analyzing the validity of the identification number; and counting the identification number that is determined to be valid so as to achieve people traffic statistics in the designated area. On the basis of the people traffic statistical method provided by the present invention, the present invention further increases the analysis step of further performing validity analysis on each identification number after the people image is identified, and achieves people traffic statistics by counting a valid identification number, thereby greatly improving the accuracy of the people traffic statistics.
