The present invention relates to the field of detection techniques, and provides a remote sensing image cloud shadow detection method supported by earth surface type data. On the basis of the combination of the characteristic information of a pixel spectrum library and an earth surface type, the present invention relates to performing cloud shadow detection on a Landsat 8 image, resolves a problem caused by different cloud shadow spectrum characteristics under different earth surface types by using the support of the earth surface type, and resolves the problem of cloud shadow threshold setting in the manner of increasing a certain reflectivity value in step (a difference boundary between cloud shadow and a ground object spectrum characteristic is fuzzy, and therefore, it is not easy to determine a threshold). Therefore, by means of the method, the present invention has a good cloud shadow detection effect, reaches high cloud shadow detection precision, and brings a very beneficial cloud shadow detection effect.
