An e-commerce platform and a charity method based on the e-commerce platform. A lucky number is generated via order serial numbers comprising order placing sequence information of users bidding an auctioned merchandise and a third party certification, a free order is filtered out, on the basis of the lucky number and the order serial numbers, from all orders placed in the period during which the lucky number is generated, when the free order is filtered out, a portion of the purchase payment of the free order and a portion of the markup payment for the auctioned merchandise are extracted and donated to a charity institution, at the same time, the balance of the payment for the order remaining when the donated amount is deducted is refunded to the user of the free order, and the balance of the markup payment remaining when the donated amount is deducted is added with the reservation for the auctioned merchandise and paid to an auctioning user. This model inspires and embodies the philanthropic moral qualities of people and favors the development of e-commerce in diversified and healthy directions.
