The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hoist, a hoist operation restriction method and a hoist life estimation method, and a hoist operation restriction system and a hoist life estimation system, whereby it is possible to estimate the timing of component replacement and product life in consideration of the number of times an inching operation has been carried out. To achieve this, the present invention comprises: an electric motor 1 for lifting or lowering a hook 8 for suspending a load; an operation input device 5 for energizing/de-energizing the electric motor 1; and a storage device 24 for storing operating information of the electric motor 1 corresponding to the operation input device 5. The storage device 24 stores the number of times an inching operation in which the electric motor 1 is energized and then de-energized for less than a predetermined period of time has been carried out. Furthermore, if the number of times the inching operation has been carried out as stored in the storage device 24 exceeds a predetermined value, operation restrictions are imposed with respect to the inching operation from the operation input device 5. Moreover, the life of a hoist 1 is estimated on the basis of the number of times the inching operation has been carried out as stored in the storage device 24.
