A clad austenitic stainless steel sheet which comprises a base material and a cladding material that is bonded to the base material, and which is configured such that: the base material is formed of a carbon steel or a low alloy steel; the carbon equivalent Ceq of the base material is 0.38 or less; the tensile strength of the base material is from 490 MPa to 620 MPa (inclusive); the cladding material is formed of an austenitic stainless steel; the average shear strength at the bonding interface between the base material and the cladding material is 400 MPa or more; and the standard deviation of shear strength is 20 MPa or less.
