#$%^&*AU2020100617A420200528.pdf#####ABSTRACT The invention discloses a set of novel non-invasive biomarkers to identify dairy cows with fatty liver disease, setting up a pre-warning system and method. The biomarkers are: L-aaminobutyric acid and Behenic acid in feces, and 3-Nitrotyrosine in urine. It is validated that the AUC value of each of the above biomarkers is higher than that of the traditional serum biochemical indicators commonly used in clinical, indicating the three novel biomarkers have higher diagnostic ability. Moreover, the combined diagnostic results of the three biomarkers show a higher diagnostic application value. Application of these novel biomarkers in production of dairy industry will accurately identify the dairy cows with fatty liver and also monitor the health situation of cow population, but also simplify the diagnostic steps and lower the diagnostic cost, because of escape of liver biopsy and/or blood collection. This benefits for animal welfare, and also is supportive for the sustainable development of dairy industry. Additionally, it will be helpful for the selection of bulls and dams in breeding.
