The present invention relates to a recombinant protein for prevention or treatment of Alzheimer's disease, which is recombined on the basis of milk fat globule-EGF factor 8(MFG-E8) protein and has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. The recombinant protein can delay the onset of Alzheimer's disease or slow down the progression of the disease and further can provide an effect of restoring symptoms associated with degeneration in memory, cognition, and behavior to normal levels. In addition, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising as an active ingredient a recombinant protein for prevention or treatment of Alzheimer's disease, which is recombined on the basis of milk fat globule-EGF factor 8 (MFG-E8) protein and has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1.
