#$%^&*AU2020102401A420201105.pdf#####Abstract The present invention discloses a method on improving the mechanical properties of 5083 Al-Mg alloy, including the following steps: putting a 5083 Al-Mg alloy sample into a cryogenic vessel, soaking the cryogenic vessel with liquid nitrogen for cryogenic treatment, and performing temperature reversion in the cryogenic vessel in air after finishing the deep cryogenic treatment. The deep cryogenic treatment temperature is -196°C, and the range of treatment time is 12-24h. The method of the present invention may enhance the stability of a structure of the 5083 Al-Mg alloy and improve the mechanical properties of the 5083 Al-Mg alloy.
