A hydroxyl aluminum oxide (AlOOH) nano-adjuvant prepared on the basis of a chemical precipitation principle, hydrothermal synthesis, and a method for regulating the length-to-diameter ratio thereof. The method comprises using inorganic aluminum salts as a reaction substrate and an alkaline solution as a precipitant. A nano-sized AlOOH adjuvant is prepared by a chemical precipitation method. The length-diameter ratio of the obtained product can be precisely regulated by regulating the pH in the reaction precipitation process. The method is simple in operation process and is good in repeatability. The prepared AlOOH nanomaterial has uniform morphology, high uniformity of the particle size, good stability, and good application prospects in the field of biological medicines such as a vaccine adjuvant.
