This setting method for a composite material laminate structure is provided with: a mechanical learning step for performing mechanical learning on a plurality of sets of data that each include a combination of a property value of the composite laminate structure obtained by laminating a plurality of layers and a laminate configuration of the composite laminate structure, to obtain a relational expression of the property value and the laminate configuration; and a laminate configuration information calculation step for calculating laminate configuration information which is information of a laminate configuration for which a target value is obtained, on the basis of the relational expression and a target value of the property value.
