According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, conjugates prepared using gold nanoparticles having a controlled size using a seed growth method are applied to the fabrication of a lateral flow assay-based biosensor. A method of qualitatively and / or quantitatively diagnosing (or detecting) hepatitis B virus using the biosensor is described.
